The denial stage.
You act like everything is fine. You tell yourself you don’t need them; that you’re fine with out them. You put up this front to everyone. You say that you’re happy, but everyone can see right through that. You’re broken but you won’t admit it. You’re in denial. You can’t accept the fact that you were hurt, so you don’t. You act like it was nothing. You act like it doesn’t phase you. You hold back all the pain, all the sadness, all those tears, until you can’t any longer….. and that’s when you finally break down.
